Bio
Juliana Montes de Oca Chacon (2001) is a Costa Rican-Colombian painter, freelance illustrator, and multi-disciplinary artist living in Toronto, Ontario. She studied and completed her Bachelor of Design in Illustration at OCAD University.
Through figuration and abstraction, she uses painting to explore memory and make sense of quiet or transitory moments. Her interests lie in topics of memory, material essence, psychoanalysis, and the natural landscape.
She loves collaborating with others, wishes to contribute positively to her community, and wants to continue learning and growing in her creative practice.
